Decked out turkey burgers and 'hott' chocolate.

After two days full of banquet and airport food it was so nice to eat something good and local. One of my personal favorite spots to grab some lunch at home in Chattanooga is Urban Stack. My family loves to come here and the atmosphere is really cool. We tried some new menu items, one being fried chickpeas. I have never had cooked garbanzo beans before, but I love them in salad and they are used to create most hummus, which is one of my favorite snacks. We gave them a try and they were great. I would love to put these cooked beans in a spinach salad with some goat cheese!

I adore fried green tomatoes. So, instead of getting my usual mushroom and swiss turkey burger (I don't eat red meat) I got Urban's Fried Green Tomato burger. It was excellent and certainly a combination I will recreate in my own kitchen. However, next time I will ask for the white vinegar mayo on the side. It was very good, but over powered the other flavors on the burger.

This place also cuts their own fries - regular and sweet potato - and makes their own pickles! YUM!

Sometimes I just need dessert. Most of the time actually - it helps my indigestion...

After being home for so long, I had to pay one of my favorite local spots a visit. The Hot Chocolatier is the best place in Chattanooga to please your sweet tooth.

A small assortment of four chocolates is just enough for an after lunch treat. They also offer beautiful pastries and cakes, as well as my favorite sweet bite - macaroons. The Lemon Soufflé bonbon was extra amazing!
