Cranberry + Brie

I love to make munchies and appetizers.

Every gathering/party/celebration needs finger foods.

When my family gets together, it is a party in the kitchen. We all cook together, we munch on delicious yummies and we toast to things - anything really.

This giving season, I made the EASIEST, most delicious, snacks ever.

Cranberry and Brie puff pastry bites.

These bites only require 3 ingredients. They take about 10 minutes of prep time and only need 10 minutes in the oven.

What you need to make these yummies:

1 package frozen puff pastry

1/2 lb. Brie cheese

1 cup cranberry sauce

(Make sure you thaw the puff pastry completely before beginning.)

Also, before beginning to slice your puff pastry dough, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Using a sharpe knife, slice the pastry into three inch squares.

Place the dough squares in a greased muffin pan. Make sure the dough doesn't have any seperations or holes and is at least half way up the pan on all sides.

Cut the Brie into small cubes. It is likely that you will still have some cheese remaining.

Honestly, the more Brie the better. Just don't over flood your pastry.

Spoon the cranberry sauce over top of the Brie.

Place the bites in the oven for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. After the cooking time has passed, check to see if the corners of your puff pastry are lightly golden brown.

Allow the bites to set in the pan for 5 minutes before removing. They should be easily pulled out. Don't try to flip the pan and dump them all at once, as the filling will still be slightly molten for a few more minutes.

They are delicious hot or at room temperature.

Place your bites on a serving dish.

They are sure to be a hit!

These bites can also be made using other cheese and jam/jelly/preserve combinations.

Next time I am thinking goat cheese and peach preserves!
