I can't possibly think of a G Rated way to say this.
Thigh high stockings aren't just for harlots anymore.
In past years, wearing a pair of thigh high socks or stockings lent an air of promiscuity that most women were not comfortable with. However, in the fall Ready to Wear collections of 2014 several designers used them to compliment riding boots or shorter hemlines.
Tory Burch, Versace and Donna Karen all boosted the look.
In the trickle-down effect from the runway, that we all know too well, an accessory that was once considered lewd is now considered trendy.
And, quite warm if you ask me.
