Keep it simple, stupid.

Some days are meant for simple ensembles.

Poor weather. A to-do list a mile long. Pure exhaustion.

On these days - keep it simple, stupid.

101_4329For me, keeping it simple can often be harder than putting together something elaborate.

Simple can mean many things. My list often includes a clean look that can work throughout the day, comfort and classic style. Generally, I also need to be work appropriate and ready for anything.

So, what do you put on when you need to keep it simple?

I tend to go for a comfy pair of pants - not jeans - to keep it business causal, and a loose fitting button down - like my favorite chambray, pictured here.

Then, it's all about the accessories (isn't it always). Choose things that you know you can rock all day. If you know bulky necklaces weight you down, throw an arm party instead. I also like to keep my hair up and out of the way, so I can take care of business.

How do you keep it simple?
