Suddenly, sweater weather.
I know I really shouldn't complain anymore about how hard it is to get dressed in Chattanooga these days, but honestly I never know what season I should dress for. After many negotiations with Mother Nature and a bit of begging she still can't seem to decide if it is winter or not.
Thankfully, to my enjoyment, the days of cozy sweaters seem to have arrived.
After holding this gem in my closet for almost two months, I am happy to present to you my new favorite sweater for these upcoming chilly months.
Currently, I can't get enough jewel tones in my closet. This deep indigo is a divine color. I believe I am finally realizing that strong colors work best with my fair complexion and light eyes.
Since going natural with my hair and leaving my blonde locks behind, I am discovering new colors that work better for me than they did before. It's a whole new adventure!
The current equation I have worked:
fair skin + light eyes + dark hair = striking in deep, rich colors
Now, that's my kind of math.
One of the conundrums I encountered when styling this sweater concerned the shade of denim that would work best. In my opinion, a lighter shade complements the deep purplish-blue color best.
Like Goldie Locks, nothing too dark, nothing too light - just that middle hue that is just right.
Then, I added light accessories to keep the entire look from feeling gloomy and a dark lip for an edgy touch.
What sweater are you chomping at the bit to rock this winter?
