My kind of minimalism.

I really love the look of minimalistic clothing.

However, that look doesn't always come naturally to me.

I love my accessories - my prints. I have to be conscious about editing down my outfit pairings, occasionally. Fortunately, sometimes you come across a piece for your wardrobe that makes so much of a statement, while being so simple, that putting together a great minimalistic outfit comes easy. This sweater is one of those pieces for me.

A hard hitter for me? The color of this knit. Not a show stopper in your opinion? O.K. I get that. But - for me, this color is so awesome and seemingly odd that I couldn't help myself. I was drawn to it immediately. My tip here - I bought this turtleneck (which happens to be ON SALE currently) to be oversized. I mean, really - I got this guy three sizes up. Why? For me, the luxe feel that this sweater can give off is totally connected to it having an oversized look. Cozy. Warm. Comforted.

After you find a piece that feels like that to you, it becomes all about choosing the right things to go along with it. For me - you can't go wrong with black. These skinnies are my FAVORITE black denim. Wanna know a secret? These are a black denim jegging. I can not convey the comfort of these babies. So much. (also currently ON SALE - WHATTTT?) I highly recommend.

Followed by a few accessories and a soft lip.

Frankly, this is about as minimal as I can get.

What are your favorite high impact pieces in your closet?
