Chilly Chattanooga.

Chilly Chattanooga.

On a chilly day in Chattanooga (we never know how the weather will be these days) I noticed that the light hitting the Federal Building on Georgia Avenue was breathtaking.

The white marble and stone work looked so crisp and calm, I had to stop for some photos.

I love it when things just fall into place.

If you haven't ever been to Chattanooga, or know very little about it, let me fill you in - it's beautiful. Honestly, I am not sure I have ever been in a more beautiful city.

I truly see the value in skyscrapers, I appreciate them for their architecture and the way they make you feel small. Chattanooga doesn't have any of that - but, what it lacks in grandeur, it makes up for in well-planned aesthetic appeal and personality.

To some people, I can see how this building may seem more business, less pleasure. I don't really see it that way. So, I wanted to share a bit of it with you all... along with my outfit from that day. It's one of my odd winter favorites.

Yes, I did say odd winter. That is what I have named this new season we are experiencing.

I wanted to keep this look fun, yet warm. This sweater is one of my favorites - actually, the only printed sweater I own. The skirt is a classic. I have had it for years. It doesn't go out of style.

If you don't own a simple black wool skirt, I suggest you consider making the investment in one - or finding a good bargain, as I so much enjoy doing. They a very versatile and handy when you need to dress up in less than friendly temperatures.

I finished my look with all black accessories. I know, none of you are surprised.

What have been your favorite winter looks this year?
