On a Saturday afternoon not so long ago, Jane Biscarini asked me to join her for a walking tour of Chattanooga's Southside food scene. Jane hosts a tour of the emerging trendy spots in the hip neighborhood called Eat. Sip. Walk, featuring local businesses, food and drink.

Of course, I didn't pass up a chance to eat (I never do). The food was delicious, and the proprietor of each delightful stop was friendly and informative about the little qualities that make their food or drink special. It was a lovely afternoon.

On this particular Saturday we visited Main Street Meats, Niedlov's Breadworks, Slick's Burgers, DeBarge Winery, and Blue Orleans. The stops on the tour vary from day to day, but always impress and leave each person's tummy feeling extra satisfied.

If you are looking for a fun way to explore more restaurants than you could ever venture to on a single weekend stay in Chattanooga, or want to try out a few different places in your own beloved city, I suggest you give the tour a whirl. I had a lovely time and got to visit a few new places along the way (which is saying a lot, considering I make a practice to trying new places). Tours happen both during the week and on weekends.
