Dots.

Dots.

I have been through so many phases with polka dots. I have loved them. I have hated them. I have felt they were generic, and ridiculous. Now, our relationship has arrived at a destination of indifference. I will pick up something with eye-catching spots in a store, and often put it down, but occasionally - it will speak to me.

These polka dots are special, because upon closer inspection, they are more then simply dots. They are like small places where a paint brush has touched the fabric. I like that. ย

Lately, I have been on a craze of purchasing things that are office appropriate. I started a new job rather recently, so of course some new threads are in order. Several months ago, I realized I enjoy the way that a collard blouse makes my face look. I never thought this would happen - as my high school days were plagued with nothing but collard shirts. However, I have always loved a close neckline, and with the opinions of high school log past, collars are now a favorite of mine. This blouse is a lovely, affordable one - and I love the way it looks with everything. Seriously. Everything.

I have also come to find that wearing a shirt with a collar opens up so many fun options to accessorize with. I am loving women's bow ties these days - and I HAVE to have them in more colors. I am developing an obsession with neck wear.

What are your favorite office appropriate outfits? ย
