What I'm wearing this week. | Embroidered loafers and boyfriend jeans.
I love when a practical shoe comes in fashion. Gucci's current collection of Princetown loafers has fashion girls everywhere slipping into something more comfortable and has those of us who aren't down to spend more than $500 on a pair of shoes (or on just about anything, really) searching for our favorite dupes. Of all the slip-on loafers hitting the pavement right now, I have particular love for the ones with a bit of embroidery.
Forever 21 brought us a great look-for-less version of Gucci's uber popular loafer with rose detail, which happens to be my personal favorite from the collection. However, for the loafers I'm wearing here, I chose to make them myself using a super comfy pair of loafers from Target. I don't tend to have great luck in the comfort department with shoes from Forever 21, but I am always surprised at how comfy the shoes I pick up at Target are. I am deeply into the embroidered shoe trend because it brings new dimension to the idea of what an "everyday shoe" can really be. These loafers are super versatile, extremely comfortable, and add so much style to an outfit like the one I'm wearing here. I leave the house in a slouchy jean on a regular basis and when comfort is my aim a heel simply won't do. A backless slip-on mule like this still give your leg a great line without the aching foot.
