Things have been so crazy lately. I honestly know people always say that, but sometimes it's just true. A music festival that happens in Chattanooga right in my back yard just wrapped up, and even though I got to have fun and jam out to Ludacris and The Flaming Lips, it makes things so hectic. Frankly, no sadness that those fun times have passed for the summer.
Now that the music has stopped, I'm packing up my suitcase to fly to Charlotte, North Carolina later this week for the Southern Foodways Alliance Summer Symposium. I wish packing didn't make my head spin the way that it does. I hate overpacking. I like to combat with planning. If you have been reading along with me lately, you know I just packed up for a girl's weekend in New York City. Full disclosure: I'm doing laundry from that trip as I type this very sentence. Opps!
Since the beginning of 2017, I have talked a lot about only buying items for my closet that I will always love - or at least that I can always see myself loving. Tops and skirts like this fall into that category. I like what I like. If a bell sleeve is on every shelf or not, the look will always have a place in my heart (many people probably already know that). This handbag is the same. IRL, I carry this bag EVERY DAY. It is the perfect bag for a woman who has to carry a fair amount of items to work on the daily. Personally, other than essentials, I fill it with an agenda and an iPad every single day. Purses are investment pieces. By that I mean, invest in something you will carry every day for almost two years, like I did with this bag, and love it all the way.
Almost all of these items will be coming with me to Charlotte. What else will be coming? Who knows? Packing has me stressed AF. Send good suitcase vibes, please.
